2023 Lychee Update

We expect to have a large harvest this year, however it will not all be ripe at the same time so we will release cases weekly as the fruit is ripe and ready to ship. We are currently shipping to all states except Florida.

Stack of Hula Brother's fruit boxes that are used to package and ship fresh longan, lychee and rambutan from Hawaii.

Shipping

We ship all lychee via FedEx Overnight. Most West Coast orders are delivered the day after they ship from our farm, however with the increase in shipping delays it is possible that your order will take 2 days to be delivered. Non West Coast orders will take 2-day for delivery.

Please ensure you are available to receive and properly store the fruit as soon as it is delivered. We package and ship our products to comply with federal agricultural regulations, and are unable to add icepacks or other materials at this time. We are not responsible for damage after the fruit has been delivered.

Please read our FAQs for more information.

How to Store Lychee

Our lychee are harvested ripe and are perishable and susceptible to light bruising and browning once picked, packaged and shipped, and are best eaten as soon as you receive them.

Please read our detailed guide on how to properly store and enjoy your lychee upon delivery.

Lychee Storage Tips

Fresh, ripe lychee fruit on branches of lychee tree. Kaimana lychee fruit from Hula Brothers.

About Our Lychee

Our tree ripened Hawaii ‘Kaimana’ Lychee are large, juicy, sweet and tangy and have thin red skin and juicy translucent fruit with a small pit.

We pick, pack and ship our fruit with care to ensure the freshest quality. Our fruit is tree ripened and is never frozen or treated with any preservatives.

Our lychees are as as fresh as they get without picking them off the tree yourself. This also means the fruit is perishable and susceptible to light bruising and browning once picked, packaged and shipped, and are best eaten as soon as you receive them.

Not fresh

This time the lychee is not fresh as last time, 1/5 of them turn black and sour, and smell.

Aloha. Thank you for your review, I'm sorry to hear that some of the fruit was no longer fresh when it was delivered. All of our lychee is harvested fresh and shipped within 48 hours of harvest, however as the weather gets warm there can be some damage to the fruit depending on how it is handled during shipping. We take the quality of our fruit seriously, and are happy to issue a partial refund for the fruit that arrived in poor condition. Can you please email us at fruit@hulabrothers.com so we can help! Mahalo!
