Our Farm
A family-run orchard on the slopes of Mauna Loa, growing tropical fruit since 1987.
A family affair
Our farm began the way most family farms do: with two people, a piece of land, and a stubborn fascination with growing things that don't grow easily. Bob and Susi Hamilton planted their first trees on the slopes of Mauna Loa in 1987, drawn to the volcano's rich soil and the rare microclimates it creates — conditions that let tropical fruit varieties from across Asia and the Pacific thrive in Hawaii.
Nearly forty years later, Bob and Susi are still an active part of the operation, alongside their daughters, who have been running around the farm since childhood. The Hamiltons also run Plant It Hawaii, a wholesale nursery serving Hawaii's farms and gardens — a sister business built on the same lifelong passion for tropical horticulture.
What we grow
-
Kaimana Lychee
LYCHEEA Hawaii-developed lychee variety prized for its large size, thin red skin, and juicy translucent flesh with a small pit. Sweeter and more aromatic than the smaller imported varieties.
-
Biew-Kiew Longan
LONGANA premium Thai longan variety with thicker flesh, a small seed, and a clean, honeyed sweetness. Among the most respected longan cultivars commercially grown anywhere in the world.
-
Rambutan
RAMBUTANA mix of carefully selected Thai rambutan varieties chosen for flavor, easy peeling, and texture. Sweet, juicy, and unlike anything you'll find in a typical supermarket.
Why this matters when you order
When you order from us, you're not just buying lychee, longan, or rambutan. You're buying a specific variety, harvested ripe by a specific person on a specific morning, packed within hours and shipped overnight to your door — without preservatives, waxes, dyes, or post-harvest chemicals.
That's a different product than what comes through a typical grocery supply chain. The price reflects that, and so does the flavor.
We're a small family operation, and every order matters to us. Mahalo for supporting the work.
